Import leads from CSV
Who it’s for: Salespeople and managers
Where: Pipeline → Import CSV
Before you start: A CSV with a header row and permission to create leads.
- Choose Import CSV, then select your file or paste CSV text.
- In Match columns, review every guessed mapping. Map a column to Business / lead name.
- Choose Keep as extra info for a column you want to retain without a dedicated field. Ignore only columns you do not need.
- Select the consent basis that accurately describes your batch, then open the review step.
- Inspect the new, updated, duplicate and unusable rows. Go back and correct the file or mappings before importing.
- Choose Import and read the result counts. Open Leads to spot-check saved records.
You’ll know it worked when…
Section titled “You’ll know it worked when…”The result reports imported, updated, skipped and suppressed rows as applicable, and the expected records are in Leads.
Notes & limits
Section titled “Notes & limits”- Duplicate warnings do not automatically exclude those rows; the review screen says they will still be imported.
- Unusable rows are left out. Correct them in the source file before retrying.
- Their id (used to match re-imports) helps identify previously imported records. Review updates before confirming.
- Importing records does not send customer messages.
