Connect an assistant with MCP

Who it’s for: Managers and authorized integration owners
Where: Your assistant’s connection settings, then Sturdy Sales authorization
Before you start: An assistant that supports remote MCP and access to manage Sales API keys.

Steps

1. In your assistant’s remote MCP connection settings, enter https://app.sturdysales.com/mcp.
2. If the assistant supports browser authorization, start its connection flow and sign in to Sturdy Sales.
3. Review the requesting app and each permission on the Sales consent screen. Approve only the access you intend to grant.
4. Ask the assistant to identify the connected workspace or read a record you can verify.
5. Review the connected app in Settings → API keys, where you can revoke it.

You’ll know it worked when…

The assistant can perform the approved read operation and the connected app appears in Sales.

Notes & limits

• Setup screens vary by assistant. Use that product’s current connection instructions.
• Clients that require a static authorization header can use a scoped API key.
• A connection with write access can change workspace records. Review proposed changes before asking an assistant to carry them out.
